Here’s what I do
I’m passionate about mobile computing in all its forms, so as Group Editor for Mobile Computing it’s my responsibility to manage and develop our existing portfolio of mobile sites.
I find that having a great working relationship with clients is key to a successful site. It’s my job to make sure the message on every smartphone, laptop and netbook is placed in the best possible context. This is managed through regular updates and assessments of trends, and generally being excited by what lies ahead.
Mobile Computing is the essential growth area in IT, so developing projects for new clients is also a key role.
My background
Fourteen years a professional IT journalist, I’ve spent the last ten specialising in mobile computing, especially laptops and smartphones.
Why I like working with Nokia
Nokia is the Number One manufacturer of smartphones in the world, gaining this through experimentation and innovation. Working with Nokia gives me access to some of the best tech around. Nokia has such a forward looking and eco-aware company philosophy it’s hard not to get excited about all aspects of its business.
Why I like working with The Link
Working alongside one of the country’s largest e-tailers gives me a chance to help the average person get the best deal for their money. The Link is constantly evolving it’s range, offering some of the best mobile phone packages around, so working closely with them gives a fantastic snapshot of what’s happening in the world of mobile computing.
