Here’s what I do
I write across a range of Republic’s sites, including NokNok and Toshiba Life. My main job is to keep our readers up to date with news, reviews and in-depth looks at the latest technology and features that they can enjoy on their smartphones, TVs, camcorders, tablets and laptops, among others.

Stuff you need to know

Favourite possession:
My gym-card. Without regular exercise I’d go nuts (and probably get fat surprisingly quickly too)

Biggest creative hero:
David Fincher. Either that or Hip-Hop producer Alchemist

Most indispensable tool:
My smartphone. Without my music, contacts and calendar, life would be pretty boring

Dream project:
Anything that involves working outdoors every day in a beautiful, sunny country

Something unusual about yourself:
I’m part Turkish, Chilean, Swedish and English and was raised in London with a New Zealander

What did you want to be when you grew up:
Married to Alyssa Milano

Dogs or cats:
I love them both, but right now I’d have to choose dogs. Especially a Shiba Inu

The one thing everyone should know how to make:
People smile

A word you just made up, and what does it mean:
Republicise. To take a writer who’s used to slow monthly print deadlines and get him working at the fast pace of online journalism

Something you want to do before you die:
Move to California. Ideally San Diego, but living in San Francisco would be great too
